Obiano’s Viral video | Anambra Traditional Rulers | EFCC Disciplines Officer: The Anambra State Traditional Rulers and the Council have acted to the online viral video showing former “Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra” in the protection of the Economic & Financial Crime Commission. Describing it as an embarrassing moment to Obiano and the people of Anambra.

In a statement signed by its Chairman. Professor Nnaemeka Achebe the council stated that it was a very embarrassing
moment over the video which showed Obiano dressed in shorts and a white T-shirt in the “EFCC” custody.

The statement was made accessible to newsmen in Awka on Monday. And decried the “inhumane treatment” to Obiano and queried the clip got le@ked on social media and other platforms.

Anambra Traditional Rulers:

Council far called on President “Muhammad Buhari” and the Attorney-General “Mr. Abubakar Malami.

The traditional rulers were utterly shocked and very angry that someone of the status of a former state governor treated disrespectful and rude manner.

Achebe also says that:: “without prejudice and to the responsibility of the EFCC and to carry out its legal duties on such treatment to Obiano.

However, he also stated the council on behalf of all the traditional rulers in the state and called on the EFCC to treat Obiano with due civility.

And arrested by the “EFCC mean Economic and Financial Crimes Commission” on the night of March 17 at the “Murtala Mohammed International Airport” in Lagos.

He was apparently on his way out of the country and shortly after handing over to Professor Charles Soludo when he was arrested.
