Officials agree to spend $25million to replace a Pittsburgh bridge in Pennsylvania After a week it collapsed: Officials said that the collapse of the Fern Hollow Bridge is, seen here on Friday (Jan,28,2022) and should be a sign of the need to invest in the infrastructure.

After a week officials announced plans to build a new one that will cost around $25.3 million.

An estimated ten people were injured on January 28. When the snow-covered Fern Hollow-Bridge collapsed just an hour before President Joe Biden was slated to speak in Pittsburgh about the infrastructure.

Federal money:

And Federal money will also pay for the new bridge. And through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, he said a release from the city and state Department of Transportation.

The city and the state finalized to Pay Grant Agreement and allowed Penn-DOT to design and construct a new structure according to the release. The city will resume jurisdiction, maintenance of the bridge after completion the release said.

We hope that we can rebuild this bridge as quickly and more efficiently as possible.

The “Bipartisan Infrastructure Law” will go a long way to support our nation and our commonwealth. While we must heed this collapse and as a sign that we must take steps at the state level and prevent a future tragedy.
